Geneva, Switzerland

Today was a travel day. We got up early this morning and hopped on the subway which took us to a massive train station. We then got on a much larger, nicer, above-ground train which we rode for four hours on our way to Geneva, Switzerlalnd all the way from our starting point in Milan, Italy. It was a beatiful ride, with great views of adorable little towns and the towering, snow-peaked Alps. Eventually we arrived in Geneva and took another train to the Geneva Airport, and rented a car which we drove all the way for another four hours to Lucerne, Switzerland.

One thing to know about Switzerland is that it has four languages: German, French, Italy, and Romanch, which comes from Latin. Geneva is in the westernmost part of Switzerland, the French side, and Lucerne is in the easterb part, the German side. Also, side coment: my grandpa went to medical school in Geneva so we have family ties there. :)

Now we're Couch Surfing. Couch Surfing is an organization where people visit places all over the world and other people host them and let them live in their home for a few days for free. Right now we're with a family of four with two kids and a mom from here in Lucerne and a dad from Nigeria.
